Tyrian False-Fae (Pseudofae regalis)

When I describe a character as "a ruti", this is actually the species I mean, if they're not basically a carbon copy of Ruti's actual design.

Taxonomy

Kingdom: Magiae
Phylum: Cantiae (Living Spells)
Class: Sapiens (Sapient)
Order: Gemmavora (Jewel-eaters)
Family: Fataforma (Fairy-form)
Genus: Pseudofae (False fae)
Species: P. regalis (Royal false-fae)

Physical Description

An uncommon species of biologically immortal false-fae. Tyrian false-fae typically have fur of short length, with longer patches at the base of the tail and head. Horns are asymmetrical, with one always being notably larger than the other, though as these horns grow throughout the fae's life, some are known to file the larger down for aesthetic reasons. Fur color ranges in lightness from vividly colored to pale, and in hue from indigo to magenta. Markings are limited to a slight darkening at the tip of the horns and tail, and darker plumage on the flight feathers.

The species is known to have minor shapeshifting abilities, restricted to the genitals (which do not exist outside of active use), leg alignment (to change between a digitigrade and plantigrade stance), and hip/spine alignment (to change between an upright bipedal stance and a quadrupedal stance).

Intra-Species Relations

As tyrian false-fae typically engage in brood parasitism, it is not unusual for an individual to never encounter another member of its own species until well into adulthood.

As is typical of much of the Sapiens class of Magiae, tyrian false-fae reproduce via monosexual sexual reproduction (wherein any member of the species could reproduce with any other), and have largely dormant reproductive cycles.
